F.A.Q.

1. Does "dnux" mean something?

Yes it does. the "dn" represents "dot net" (.NET) and the "ux" stands for User eXperience. The idea is that we, as a group, are focused on the end user experience utilizing .NET technologies. However, the name is also left generic enough and the groups name is not ".NET User Experience" for a reason. That reason is that we will, from time to time, use technologies that aren't specifically .NET, but that relate to .NET in some manner.

2. Why does this webpage look so "blah" given that the focus is on user experience?

This was done on purpose. ;-) Right now, most of the people who have stated interest have been developers. This is mainly due to the fact that most of us starting the group are involved in the developer community and are currently reaching out to the designer community. Once we have some designers on board (or developers that can act in both roles) we will begin to update this site leveraging technologies that will provide an enhanced user experience.

3. Is this a user group?

Technically, yes. However, we see it as having elements that are similar to other user groups while at the same time being very, very different. You'll just have to visit to understand what we mean by that.

4. What does it cost?

Technically, nothing. However, it isn't free per say. We do expect that you'll be interactive and contribute to the meetings. There are many ways to contribute, so don't feel like you'll be left out.

5. Do I need to RSVP?

Although not required, it would be nice to have everyone RSVP so that appropriate meeting space can be arranged. To RSVP, we utilize Microsoft's Codezone.

To join a group, you'll need to provide a "leader-supplied Access Code". The Access Code is xaml.
Once you have joined the group(s), you will receive invites about a week before an upcoming meeting.  At that point, you can accept or decline expected attendance.

7. Why do you use CodeZone?

CodeZone provides some excellent tools for group management and also helps to plug everyone into a greater .NET community by providing additional resources to all members.

8. There doesn't seem to be a DNUX group near me, what can I do?
